German Chancellor arrived to negotiate a settlement amid fear of Russian attack on Ukraine

 

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz arrived in Ukraine on Monday amid growing fears of a Russian attack. Scholz plans to move from here to Moscow, where he will try to convince President Vladimir Putin to back down on the matter. US officials have warned that Russia may launch an attack this week.            

Moscow has denied these plans, but has deployed more than 130,000 troops to the Ukrainian border. At the same time, America believes that in a short time, Russia has accumulated so much military power that it can attack at any time. Some airlines have canceled their flights to the Ukrainian capital amid fears that a war might break out at some point. At the same time, NATO member countries have landed a new consignment of weapons there on Sunday.

 

The US, Britain and other European countries have asked their citizens to leave the country (Ukraine), while Washington is recalling most of its employees from its embassy in Kiev. In the wake of Russian naval exercises in the Black Sea, Ukraine's air traffic safety agency Eukaroruk issued a statement describing the airspace over the Black Sea as a "potential danger zone" and that planes would not take off between February 14 and 19. has been advised.
